TROY, Ala. – The Troy softball team takes its final regular-season road trip to Conway, S.C., to face Coastal Carolina in a three-game series at the Charles Wade-John Lott Field from Thursday, April 30 to Saturday, May 2.
The Trojans (31-19, 9-12 SBC) put themselves one win or an App State loss from clinching postseason play for the Sun Belt Conference after a 1-2 weekend against ULM. Troy battled into extra innings in games one and three, pulling out a 4-3 walk-off victory to end the series. Presley Ivey, with the bases loaded, earned a 4-1 walk to seal the victory in the 10th inning – she tied the game in the fourth inning with an RBI single up the middle.
Game three also saw Kiley Huffman account for two of Troy's runs with an RBI single in the first and an RBI double to left center in the second inning. Her performance extended her hitting streak to five, while being her eighth multi-RBI game of 2026. She also ranks second among the Trojans with 15 multi-hit games. Her 15 doubles ranks second in the SBC, two away from fellow Trojan Makaley Boswell – she's also second in sac flies with four.
With the win over Auburn last week and a game three win over ULM, the Trojans reached 31 wins in 2026, allowing head coach Eric Newell to go 4-for-4 with 30-plus win seasons at Troy. It also marked the 28th time the Trojans have won 30-plus games in a season. Troy will need a sweep over Coastal Carolina to tie Newell's Troy-high of 34 wins in a season.
