Troy Prepares for Split Midweek; Travels to Florida A&M Before Hosting Auburn

TROY, Ala. – The Troy softball team prepares for a pair of midweek games, starting with a road trip at Florida A&M on Tuesday, April 21, at 4 p.m., before hosting Auburn at the Troy Softball Complex on Wednesday, April 22, at 6 p.m.
The Trojans (28-17, 8-10 SBC) earned their second conference sweep of 2026, marking the first time they've swept two league opponents (Georgia Southern, Georgia State) since 2023 (Georgia Southern, Southern Miss). The sweep put Troy in a three-way tie for sixth in the SBC, two games above the cutline (App State, Coastal Carolina, Georgia Southern).
Troy looks to continue its perfect midweek record at 7-0, outscoring the opposition 47-14. The team also looks to win its eighth straight game over the Rattlers (26-17, 17-4 SWAC) before its first win over the Tigers (24-21, 3-15 SEC) since 2012. Troy battled to an 8-7 loss in the first matchup with Auburn on Feb. 26, scoring four runs in the top of the third and a pair in the top of the seventh on a 2-RBI single by Presley Ivey.
The weekend sweep saw the Trojans outscore the Eagles 15-6 behind a .571 batting average, .571 slugging percentage and .667 on-base percentage from Ivey. Mia Tidmore led the Trojans with three RBIs, while Makaley Boswell had a team-high five hits and two doubles. On the mound, Abby Lovell had three appearances, allowing zero runs by Georgia Southern and just two hits for an .080 opposing batting average. Ella Cunningham also picked up two victories.
