Troy Set For Double Midweek against Samford, Florida A&M

TROY, Ala. - Troy Baseball returns to action with a two-game midweek slate, hosting Samford at Riddle-Pace Field on Tuesday before traveling to Florida A&M on Wednesday.
The Trojans are coming off a 1-2 weekend at Southern Miss, defeating the 12-ranked Golden Eagles 6-5 on Friday night before falling 11-5 and 5-4 in the next two games.
The Troy offense was the star of the weekend, collecting ten-plus hits in all three games. Third baseman Josh Pyne led the way with six hits, including three doubles, while catcher Jimmy Janicki recorded two hits on both Friday and Sunday, highlighted by a three-run homer in the series opener.
Samford enters midweek action with a 9-13 overall record, having one 1-2 in its opening SoCon series at Western Carolina over the weekend.
