Men’s Tennis Earns First Road Win of Spring Season

TROY, Ala. - After clinching the win in doubles to start off the match, Troy men's tennis defeated Kennesaw State, 4-2, Saturday afternoon.
Troy's (5-2) lead in doubles against Kennesaw State (2-2) came from sophomore Thiago Drozdowski and freshman Stephan Tavares Noale on Court 1, with junior Luciano Alcocer and freshman Ryusei Miyazato following not long after on Court 2.
As the singles started, senior Yeray Andres Pastor claimed the first singles point for the Trojans. The Owls then made their way on the scoreboard, with junior Ben Hudson scoring a singles point shortly after.
The close match came to an end with sophomore Hirro Sakamoto winning the last singles match of the day, giving Troy the advantage.
The Trojans will stay on the road as they travel to Birmingham to take on Samford Sunday afternoon.
