Men's Tennis Hits the Road for Pair of Weekend Matches

TROY, Ala. - Troy looks to continue its four-match winning streak as it travels this weekend to take on Kennesaw State Saturday, followed by Samford on Sunday.
The two matches come after Troy (4-2) earned two victories over West Alabama in a midweek doubleheader. Sophomore Hiiro Sakamoto and freshmen Stephan Tavares Noale and Ausias Martin Melo took control for the Trojans, earning victories on finished courts in both matches.
Kennesaw State (1-1) is coming into the matchup on Saturday with a balanced start to its season. The match will mark the first time in a decade that the Owls will take on the Trojans, with the last meeting being in March 2015, where the Trojans defeated the Owls, 4-2.
Samford (3-2) last played Troy in January of last season, with Troy earning a 6-1 win. The Bulldogs are off to an impressive start this season, earning a road win at Alabama on Feb. 1.
