Men’s Tennis Clinches Win Against North Alabama

Florence, Ala. - After a close matchup, Troy men's tennis takes the 4-3 win against North Alabama Saturday afternoon.

Troy (9-4) claimed the doubles point from North Alabama (6-6) to start off the match. Junior Luciano Alcocer and freshman Ryusei Miyazato won on Court 2, 7-6, while senior Yeray Andres Pastor and sophomore Henrique de Brito earned their win on Court 3 with the same score.

As the singles competition began, Troy found itself in a tough spot. Senior Lachlan Brain and freshman Benjamin Meyers won their courts just before sophomore Hiiro Sakamoto won his, tying the score at 2-2.

It all came down to freshman Stephan Tavares Noale and Samuel Balfour Dominguez on Court 5, with Noale clinching the final point for the Trojans in the third set.

The Trojans have a week off to prepare for their next matchup against Louisiana on Sunday at 10 a.m. at the Lunsford Tennis Complex.
