DEBARY, Fla. – Manya Saini fired matching rounds of 78 to lead the Troy women's golf team on Monday's opening day of the Babs Steffens Invitational at the DeBary Golf and Country Club. Troy is in 12th place in the 16-team field following the opening 36 holes.

Saini carded three birdies over the two rounds, tied with Laura Fangmeyer for the most across the five Trojan golfers on Monday. Saini is tied for 26th place at 14-over par, six shots ahead of teammates Constanza Quiroga and Victoria Stutts, who are tied for 48th place. Stutts had one birdie in each of the two rounds, while Quiroga had a pair of birdies in the morning round and one in the afternoon.

Host-Stetson holds the team lead by four shots over App State heading into Tuesday's final round. Keiser, West Georgia and UNC Asheville round out the top five.

Fangmeyer and Mathilda Ringblom are tied for 60th place at 23-over par following Monday's opening two rounds.

Troy is set to play Tuesday's final round along with Drake and Bryant, beginning on the 9th hole for the shotgun start.
