Troy Women Set for Sun Belt Conference Indoor Championships

TROY, Ala. – Troy Track & Field is set to compete at the Sun Belt Conference Indoor Championships at the Birmingham Crossplex on Monday and Tuesday.
Kady Schwietz will kick things off for the Trojans on Monday morning at 10:20 a.m. in the women's pentathlon 60-meter hurdles. The senior is the reigning pentathlon champion and will look to defend her title in her final indoor conference championship.
Following the pentathlon, the Trojans will return to the track at 3:05 p.m., beginning with the women's mile.
The Trojans are coming off a strong showing at the Music City Challenge, where the quartet of Aaliyah Murphy, Haley Wilson, Kady Schwietz and Rachel Whyte set a new school record in the women's 4x400 relay in a time of 3:42.72.
Faith Jones has put together a strong season for Troy in the women's 60-meter hurdles, setting a new program record in the event in 8.48, for the second fastest time in the Sun Belt this season.
