Head Coach Chanda Rigby
"It's always good to get a conference win in Trojan Arena. We got out of sync to start with, Fortuna getting some early fouls. And that forced us to play really fast, and that caused a lot of turnovers. But this team was determined to fix that in the second half, and they did. They came back in the second half and it allowed everyone to contribute a bit tonight on the floor. What a special night for Zay. When she stepped foot on Troy soil, she put it out there that she wanted to be the best rebounder in Troy history. And we're proud that she got that. The best part is that she has the rest of the season to solidify herself as the best Division-I rebounder in Troy history. Now, Arkansas State is coming to our house. We bring out the best in each other, so it's going to be a great game. We need to pack Trojan Arena and the fans will be treated to a show."
Zay Dyer
"When I was first told about it, I just couldn't get it. I don't know what it was. And I knew that one rebound simply wasn't enough, so I went out on a mission in the second half. That moment after the game was a lot. It was truly something special. To just know that I have everyone's support and to have my teammates with me was special. That ball is my ball. I can't wait to give it to my mom, because she has a little collection of all my career accolades."
