Women’s Basketball Unveils 2026-27 Sun Belt Schedule

TROY, Ala. – After tying the program record for wins in a season, finishing runner-up in the regular season and tournament and earning its first-ever bid into the WBIT, the Troy women's basketball team sets its sights on 2026-27 with the release of the Sun Belt Conference schedule, the league office announced Thursday afternoon.
"I like several things about our SBC schedule for the upcoming season," head coach Chanda Rigby said. "We open our conference season in Trojan Arena, and I'm trusting our fans show up with enthusiasm and help us begin with a win. Of course, I'm excited for the two doubleheaders (Dec. 16, Feb. 20) where our fans can see both our women and men play. Also, it's great to know that our last four conference games will be played in Trojan Arena in front of our fans."
League play opens with a home matchup with ULM on Wednesday, Dec. 16, before Troy heads to Atlanta to face Georgia State on Saturday, Dec. 19.
After a weeklong Christmas break, Troy closes out the calendar year on Wednesday, Dec. 30, by inviting Marshall to Trojan Arena. 2027 opens with a 2025-26 SBC Championship game rematch when James Madison comes to town on Saturday, Jan. 2.
The next two weeks see Troy embark on its longest road trip of the league schedule, traveling to face Coastal Carolina (Jan. 6), Georgia Southern (Jan. 9), Southern Miss (Jan. 13) and Arkansas State (Jan. 16).
A home date with App State on Jan. 23 briefly pauses the road trip as the Trojans head to the Bayou State to face ULM (Jan. 28) in Fant-Ewing Coliseum. Then, Troy enters the Thomas Assembly Center for the first-ever SBC matchup with Louisiana Tech on Jan. 30.
Game one of the in-state rivalry with South Alabama starts in Trojan Arena on Feb. 3, before the MAC-SBC Challenge pauses league play on Feb. 6.
Troy returns to the road for the final time of 2026-27 in the following week, traveling to the Cajundome and the Mitchell Center to face Louisiana (Feb. 11) and South Alabama (Feb. 13), respectively. With game two of the in-state rivalry, the Trojans will look to avenge their 2025-26 regular-season finale loss to the Jaguars.
The final two weeks of the regular season give the Trojans home-court advantage as they invite Southern Miss (Feb. 17), Arkansas State (Feb. 20) and Louisiana Tech (Feb. 23) to Trojan Arena. Troy's regular-season finale is set for Feb. 26 against Louisiana in the friendly confines of Trojan Arena.
Postseason play returns to Pensacola, Fla., as the Trojans' 18-game conference schedule culminates from March 2-8 with the SBC Tournament.
