Women’s Basketball Invites Defending Sun Belt Champions Arkansas State to Trojan Arena

TROY, Ala. – Looking to avenge a sweep from 2025-26 that ended its Sun Belt Conference Tournament run in the semifinals, Troy women's basketball welcomes the defending SBC champions Arkansas State to Trojan Arena on Saturday, Jan. 10, at 3:33 p.m.
Both programs sit near the top of the conference, with Troy tied for fourth at 12-3, 3-1 SBC and Arkansas State tied for first at 14-3, 5-0 SBC. Before being swept in 2024-25, Troy owned Arkansas State in 13 of the previous 14 meetings.
Saturday will be Kid's Day paired with the O's Cool Bikes game with multiple giveaways, including T-Roy coloring books for the first 100 kids and beanies for the first 100 fans (13 and up). All kids 12 and under get free admission with a chance to play on the practice court during pregame. At halftime, O's Cool Bike will do a court demonstration and video with its foundation along the concourse.

The defense held the Bobcats to 28.6 percent from the field and 14.3 percent from behind the arc. The battle for the boards went heavily in Troy's favor, as it claimed a season-high 64 rebounds, with 26 on the offensive glass – Texas State had only 35.
