Troy Track & Field Prepares for Orange & Purple Invitational

TROY, Ala. – Troy Track & Field is set to compete in its fourth indoor meet of the season at the Orange & Purple Invitational on Friday at the Rock Norman Track & Field Complex in Clemson, S.C.
The Trojans will open competition early in the day, as Kady Schwietz is slated to represent Troy in the women's pentathlon beginning at 8 a.m. The meet will feature a strong field of Power Four programs, including Florida State, Alabama, South Carolina and Georgia Tech.
Troy enters the weekend with momentum following a strong showing at the Jimmy Carnes Invitational, where the Trojans set three new school records.
Ethan Forbes rewrote the record books in the men's 800m, capturing first place with a time of 1:52.96. Rachel Whyte also made history in the women's 300m, setting a new school record with a time of 38.57. Jonas Koturenka added to the record-breaking weekend by establishing a new mark in the men's 1000m, crossing the line in 2:25.35.
