Troy Sets Two Program Records at Jimmy Carnes Invitational

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Ethan Forbes and Rachel Whyte etched their names into the Troy record book Friday, each setting new program marks to headline the Trojans' day at the Jimmy Carnes Invitational.
Forbes took home first place in the men's 800m with a time of 1:52.96, surpassing Chance Armstrong (2023 - 1:53.66) for the best indoor 800m time in Troy history. Whyte's sixth-place finish in the 300m (38.57) set a new indoor record on the women's side, surpassing Precious Ogba (2019 - 39.41).
Other top five finishers for the Trojans include Haley Wilson in the women's 800m (4th - 2:12.94) and Jonas Koturenka in the men's 1000m (5th - 2:25.35).
The Trojans return to action Jan. 23-24 at Clemson's Orange & Purple Invitational in Clemson, S.C.
