BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Troy Track & Field returned to action for its first meet of the new year, picking up three podium finishes in the UAB Vulcan Invite at the Birmingham CrossPlex.
The Trojan women grabbed a first-place finish in the 4x400m relay, as the team of Aaliyah Murphy, Rachel Whyte, Zoe Smith and Kady Schwietz posted a time of 3:50.65
Shanyah Washington finished second in the 200m (24.93) while Whyte added to her strong day with a third-place finish in the 400m (57.44).Â
A pair of Trojans also set new personal bests, with a 27.41 200m by Adaorah Okafor and a 1:00.21 400m by Jaime Preston.Â
The Trojans return to action next Friday at the Jimmy Carnes Invitational in Gainesville, Fla.
