Â
TROY, Ala. – Troy softball head coach Eric Newell announced Friday the addition of three players from the Transfer Portal to join the Trojans' roster for the 2026 season. The three join a strong signing class that already features four high school players and JUCO All-American Sophia Jenkins.
Â
Ella Cunningham (P/1B, Michigan State) and Kalee Rochinski (C, Texas-San Antonio) and Amity White (OF, South Alabama) have all signed with the Trojans over the summer and will be on campus this fall.
Â
Jenkins earned NJCAA All-America honors after hitting .438 with 30 home runs, 108 RBIs and 14 doubles as a sophomore at Grayson College. She finished the year with an eye-popping 1.452 OPS as she finished second nationally in both home runs and RBIs.

Ella Cunningham, P/1B / Cleveland, Tenn. / Silverdale Baptist / Michigan State
Â
Ella Cunningham was one of the most dominant pitchers in the state of Tennessee during her career at Silverdale Baptist. Cunningham was named the MaxPreps Tennessee Player of the Year and MaxPreps All-American in 2024 after posting a 0.58 ERA over 192.1 innings of work while hitting .585 with 17 home runs and 55 RBIs as the plate.
Â
Cunningham made five appearances in the circle during her freshman season at Michigan State, including outings against Arizona, Ohio State and Oregon.
Â
"We are so excited to welcome Ella to Troy," Newell said. "She had an incredible prep career and was widely considered one of the top players in the state of Tennessee her senior year. She is a two-way player who has some nasty stuff in the circle and can swing for power from the left side."
Â
Kalee Rochinski, C, Montgomery, Texas / Lake Creek HS / UTSA
Â
Kalee Rochinski started 54 of UTSA's 55 games this past season, hitting .268 with a .794 OPS, five doubles, two home runs, 17 RBIs and seven stolen bases. She was an on-base machine for the Roadrunners, reaching at a .440 clip, thanks to 21 walks and 18 hit by pitches. Behind the plate, Rochinski threw out 20 potential base stealers (27 percent).
Â
Rochinski helped lead Lake Creek High School to a pair of national championships in 2022 and 2023, which included a remarkable 82-game winning streak. She was a two-time All-American in high school and earned her region's defensive player of the year honors as a senior.
Â
"Kalee is an absolute winner, and we can't wait for Trojan Nation to see what she can do," Newell said. "She is a high school softball state champion with two years of experience in the American Athletic Conference. She is gritty, tough and very skilled at her craft; we look forward to seeing her thrive in our program."
Â
Amity White, OF, Brundidge, Ala. / Pike County High School / South Alabama
Â
Amity White started 44 games this past season at South Alabama, where she hit .252 with six doubles, a triple and a combined seven sacrifices. The Wiregrass native played some of her best softball down the stretch; she was 4-for-10 against Troy in the final series of the season and recorded 19 of her 32 hits (59 percent) in the last 20 games of the year.
Â
White stole nearly 100 bases during her two years at Pike County High School, where she earned all-state honors, including hitting .450 with 19 doubles, nine triples, three homers and 43 stolen bases as a junior.
Â
"We are excited to have Amity coming home to Troy," Newell said. "She has two years of experience in the Sun Belt, and I was impressed with her drive to help win a championship for Troy Softball. Our coaching staff is looking forward to maximizing her skill set."
