TROY, Ala. - Troy Men's Tennis head coach Rolando Vargas announced the signing of three additions ahead of the 2025-26 season - Louis Boilevin, Ryusei Miyazato and Stephan Noale.
"I'm really excited for these new players coming in," said Vargas. "They are a great addition to the Troy family, but what stands out the most is their character. They are also great players, and will represent Troy University well."
Boilevin transfers to Troy after spending the previous two seasons at Division II Cameron. The Honfleur, France, native finished his sophomore year ranked No. 22 nationally in Division II tennis.
"Louis has the experience of being a top player in Division II. He's going to give us a lot of depth, and it will be great to develop him and see what he can contribute to the lineup," said Vargas.
Miyazato hails from Okinawa, Japan, and has playing experience with new teammate, sophomore Hiiro Sakamoto.
On Miyazato, Vargas added, "Ryusei is a very good player, and he's traveled quite a bit in the United States playing great tournaments. He's left-handed, in fact, all three signees are lefties, so we brought in a great mix when it comes to double specialists, which will give us great depth."
Noale is also a freshman addition, joining Troy from São Paulo, Brazil. He has reached as high as No. 168 in the ITF Junior Rankings.
"Stephan has been playing a lot of great tennis at junior and futures tournaments. He's been traveling all over South America and adding in very good doubles play as well. He is going to be a great addition to the team," said Vargas.
Troy will look to build on last season, where the team finished 20-8 overall, including an impressive 10-1 mark inside the Lunsford Tennis Complex.
