Troy Collects Eight First Place Finishes Through Day One of Doc Anderson Invitational

TROY, Ala. – Troy wrapped up day one of the Doc Anderson Invitational, collecting eight first place finishes across nine events at the Jesse H. Colley Track.
Shanyah Washington ran a blazing 23.72 to take first place in the women's 200-meter. Catherine Forbes followed in fourth with a time of 24.66, while Jasmine Jimenez ran a personal best of 24.90 for fifth.
Troy swept the 5000m events as Keith Warner ran a personal best 15:07.12 on the men's side to earn first place. Makenna Calbert also ran a personal best time of 18:11.31 to grab first in the women's 5,000 meter.
Troy dominated the men's 200-meter with six top 10 finishes, led by Michael Eady with a season's best of 21.36 for second. Tydreke Thomas followed closely with a 21.45 to place third.
The Trojans dominated the field events on the men's and women's sides. Amy Wall leaped to a personal best of 5.85m to win the women's long jump – Alejandra Gutierrez-Fuente (5.73m) placed second.
Morgan Reese won the men's hammer throw with a mark of 58.77m, while Joy Edward claimed gold for the women with a mark of 52.57m.
The Trojans are back in action tomorrow morning, with the first event going off at 10 a.m.
