PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Troy wrapped up three days of competition at the Penn Relays, recording eight top eight finishes at Franklin Field.

Troy's field team saw a lot of success, accounting for six of the top eight finishes. Altwayne Bedward picked up a pair of top five finishes with a fourth-place finish in the men's discus throw (50.58m) and fifth in the shot put (18.17m). Meanwhile, Darius Sylvester threw a personal best in the shot put with a mark of 16.24m to earn seventh. Tayjo Oppong grabbed eighth in the discus with a mark of 48.72m. Joy Edward threw a personal best in the women's hammer throw with a mark of 54.96m to earn sixth. Jack Anderson placed seventh in the college men's high jump with a mark of 2.00m.

Michael Eady ran a blazing 10.54 to qualify for the men's 100-meter final and placed eighth with a time of 10.72. The quartet of Kady Schwietz, Haley Wilson, Jasmine Jimenez and Aaliyah Murphy ran a season's best 3:45.63 in the 4x400 relay to advance to the final and placed sixth overall in the final with a time of 3:46.78.

The Trojans are back in action at the Sun Belt Conference Championships from Thursday, May 8th, to Saturday, May 10th.
