TROY, Ala. – Coming off its second victory of the season, the Troy men's golf team returns to the links this week for the Seminole Intercollegiate, hosted by Florida State at the Glen Arven Country Club in Thomasville, Ga.
The Trojans came away with a dominant 19-stroke victory earlier this week at the Daytona Beach Intercollegiate, which resulted in a 20-spot move up the national rankings into No. 67, which should put Troy inside the number for an at-large spot if the season ended today.
Brantley Scott, playing for just the second time this year, claimed individual medalist honors and Sun Belt Golfer of the Week honors after shooting 1-under in Daytona. He now has 40 career rounds under par in his Troy career to go along with 11 top-10 finishes.
Troy has played seven of its 18 rounds under par this season, a number that will continue to climb as the weather gets warmer this spring. Jake Springer and Nick Fowlkes lead the way with seven sub-par rounds each, while Lee Poppell has five and Pablo Gracia is close behind with four.

About Glen Arven Country Club:
Founded in 1892, Glen Arven is one of the oldest clubs in America. Its 120-year history is right and fascinating: Ben Hogan, Gene Sarazen, Byron Nelson and many other golf legends walked its fairways during the last 1930s when Glen Arven was a stop on the fledgling PGA tour. U.S. Women's Amateur champions Beatrix Hoyt (1896, 1897, 1898), Frances Griscom (1900), and Thomasville native Mary Lena Faulk (1953) were all members of Glen Arven. The club has hosted many important golf championships over the years, including three Georgia Women's Amateurs and one Georgia Men's Amateur. It was on the 18th hole of Glen Arven in 1956 that then-president Dwight D. Eisenhower deemed himself fit enough to run for another term as President of the United States.
