Troy Travels to ULM for Weekend Series

TROY, Ala. – The Troy softball team is set to take on the ULM Warhawks in a road series over the weekend. After dropping a midweek game to Auburn, the Trojans (21-13, 3-3 SBC) will look to bounce back against the Warhawks (23-13, 4-2 SBC).
ULM is coming off a series loss at Louisiana, but has had a strong start to the season. The Warhawks are on pace for their best season in recent memory.

Auburn Recap
The Trojans fell 12-5 to Auburn on Wednesday night in front of the seventh-largest crowd in Troy Softball Complex history. The Tigers scored 11 runs in the fifth and sixth innings to run away with the win.
Taylor McKinney paced the Troy offense, going 2-for-3 with two RBIs. She smacked a double and a triple in the fifth and sixth inning, respectively, to keep Troy in the game. Makaley Boswell went 2-for-3 as well, hitting a double and a single and scoring a run.
Although the game was tied 1-1 after four innings, the Auburn offense struck against Troy's bullpen. The Trojans scored three in the bottom of the fifth and one in the bottom of the sixth, threatening with multiple bases-loaded situations. However, a few warning track flyouts got Auburn out of the inning, and they sealed the victory with a scoreless seventh inning.
ULM Preview
The Warhawks are currently on pace for their best season in over a decade, led by a potent offense. ULM leads the Sun Belt Conference in hits – and is 14th in the nation – and can score in a variety of ways.
The Warhawks are third in the Sun Belt with 30 home runs, but they also mix in small ball. ULM is second in the country in total sacrifice bunts.
Morgan and Meagan Brown anchor the offense -- the pair has combined for 81 RBIs and 39 extra-base hits. In the circle, multiple pitchers have seen significant innings.
