Football Returns to Practice Field Following Spring Break
3/25/2025 1:38:00 PM | Football
TROY, Ala. – Troy Football returned to the field on a foggy Tuesday morning following an 11-day break for a near two-hour workout on the turf in Veterans Memorial Stadium. It was the Trojans' sixth practice of spring camp as they work towards T-Day on April 12.
"It looked like an 11-day break," Parker said of the helmets and shorts practice. "We went in helmets today; make sure we get back and take care of some guys so we don't end up with multiple guys out with some soft-tissue stuff coming off spring break. (The break) is really good for our guys' minds, a good pause for us on our installs and a good chance for guys who started with some injuries to get healthy. I love the two weeks in, break, and then three weeks on to finish it."
The rest of the spring will be a grind with full padded practices and scrimmages each of the next two Saturdays before the culmination on April 12.
"It's a little early (in the spring) to give it a full breakdown of where we are," Parker said. "Here's what we do know. We're more player-led than we were last year. We have more depth than we did on our roster to be able to practice a different way this spring. Our guys are eager; it's highly competitive at every position group, which has allowed us to have very efficient practices."
