Game Times Set for Six Troy Football Games

TROY, Ala. – Game times and television networks are set for Troy's first four games of the upcoming football season, plus Troy's midweek contest against Southern Miss, the Sun Belt Conference announced Wednesday afternoon.

Troy opens the season on Sept. 5 against Sam Houston in The Vet, with kickoff set for 6 p.m., before hosting Alabama State at The Vet on Sept. 12 at 3 p.m. Both games are slated for ESPN+ broadcast.

The Trojans' first road game of the year follows on Sept. 19 at Missouri, with kickoff set for 11:45 a.m. on SEC Network+ and ESPN+, while Troy's game at Utah State will kickoff at 6:30 p.m. (CT) and be televised on CBS Sports Network.

Troy and Southern Miss square off in the Trojans' Sun Belt opener on Tuesday, Oct. 6, at 7 p.m. in The Vet; the game will be televised on ESPN2. Troy has won five straight against Southern Miss, including last year's 28-18 thriller that sent the Trojans to the Sun Belt Championship Game.

Troy's Sun Belt Championship Game rematch at James Madison on Oct. 29 will kickoff at 6:30 p.m. (CT) on either ESPN or ESPN2.
The Trojans are coming off their third Sun Belt West Division title and berth in the Sun Belt Championship. Additionally, Troy signed the best recruiting class in program history, the second-best in the Group of Five, and better than programs such as Penn State, Colorado, and Wisconsin.

Troy returns both starting quarterbacks from a year ago, Goose Crowder and Tucker Kilcrease, along with First Team All-American punter Evan Crenshaw and the Sun Belt sack leader, Donnie Smith.
