Women’s Basketball Returns Home for Date with Montana State

TROY, Ala. – Fresh off its fifth-ever win over an SEC program (Missouri) to end a two-game Power-4 road trip, the Troy women's basketball team returns to Trojan Arena on Monday, Nov. 24, at 6 p.m. for a date with Montana State.
Ranked No. 10 in the Mid-Major poll, Troy (4-1) looks to avenge last season's loss to the Bobcats (4-0) in the program's first meeting in Trojan Arena.

Troy made history last Thursday afternoon when it took home the program's fifth-ever win over an SEC program, dominating Missouri, 100-82, in Mizzou Arena. The Trojans reached the 100-point mark for the 39th time in head coach Chanda Rigby's tenure, fueled by 13 3-pointers. The 13 made triples marked the 54th double-digit 3-point performance under Rigby and the first against a Power Four program.
In the upset, Leilani Guion and Emani Jenkins each scored 22 points on a combined 11 triples. Guion's 22 points on five made 3-pointers marked career-highs, while Jenkins' six makes from behind the arc tied her career-high and 20 other former Trojans for the third-most in single-game program history. Ashley Baez added her first career double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds (career-high). Troy outrebounded the Tigers 45-35 and forced 18 turnovers, marking the fifth straight game forcing 15 or more.
Zay Dyer finished with 14 points and nine rebounds, surpassing 1,000 career points and climbing to fifth in Division I career rebounds with 660. She has averaged 8.6 rebounds per game in her career, ranking fifth among active Division I players and ninth all time. Dyer leads the Sun Belt in offensive rebounds (4.6), defensive rebounds (7.4) and total rebounds (12.0), ranking 15th, 29th and sixth nationally.

Montana State enters the contest at 4-0 with wins over Carroll, Portland, Minot State and UNLV. The Bobcats average 87.3 points per game, ranking 14th nationally, and shoot 47.9 percent from the field, the 34th-best mark in the country.
