TROY, Ala. - Troy head coach Skylar Meade announced the signings of four players to the Trojans' 2026 recruiting class, featuring three coveted high school prospects and an All-Region junior college pitcher. The four newest Trojans will head to Troy for the 2026-27 academic year.
"This 2026 recruiting class was always intended to be a couple of elite players, some in high school and possibly one in the junior college ranks," Meade said. "It is clear, with the four guys who have signed the dotted line, that we have accomplished that with this grouping of players. It will be a battle to get a couple of them to school, but when we do, we have our next crop of great Trojans. I would like to personally thank our assistant coaches and staff for all the work they put into making this group exactly what we wanted during the fall period."
Hudson Reed | Third Base | Covington, Ga. | Morgan County HS
Reed is coming off a dominant junior campaign at Morgan County, where he earned All-State honors for the third consecutive season. The powerful right-handed hitter set a school record with 15 home runs this spring, posting a .469 batting average, 1.506 OPS, and 56 RBIs to lead Morgan County to a 32-10 record and a berth in the Georgia 2A State Semifinals. Perfect Game ranks Reed as the No. 175 overall prospect in the 2026 class and the top-ranked recruit headed to the Sun Belt Conference.
"Hudson was First Team All-State in Georgia. He is a monstrous kid, and to be quite frank, one of the best ballplayers in the United States," Meade said. "We will certainly have to battle the draft to get him here, but we feel that he and his family are deeply connected to Troy, especially given the relationships he has built. He has real power, hitting 15 homers in the spring, and many more this summer with wood. We also think that long-term, he will be a high-level third baseman with his smooth release and trustworthy hands at the hot corner. "
Justin San Miguel | Middle Infield | Ocean Springs, Miss. | Ocean Springs HS
San Miguel is a powerful left-handed hitter from the Mississippi Gulf Coast who has consistently showcased his pop at the plate, compiling 12 career home runs and a .341 batting average. He helped lead Resurrection Catholic to a Mississippi 1A State Championship as a freshman before setting a school record with 11 home runs as a sophomore. After transferring to Ocean Springs, San Miguel hit .304 as a junior, helping the Greyhounds to the 7A Quarterfinals. Prep Baseball Report ranks him as the No. 422 overall prospect nationally and the No. 3 shortstop in Mississippi.
"Justin is a high-level player coming to us from the state of Mississippi, where he is a top 5-ranked player via PBR. He has smooth hands and an accurate throwing ability at shortstop or second base," Meade said. "Where JSM has truly grown is his power at the plate. During our summer showcase, he hit multiple balls 415 feet or more, and we think that the leverage in the barrel will play long-term. He was invited to the East Coast Pro workout in early August and showcased himself well against many of the top players in the country."
Tyner Flynt | LHP | Purvis, Miss. | Presbyterian Christian School
Flynt is an athletic left-hander who dominated opposing hitters this spring, recording 93 strikeouts to just 34 walks over 67.1 innings. The southpaw posted a 2.08 ERA and held opponents to a .188 batting average while leading Presbyterian Christian School to the MAIS 6A State Championship over Hartfield Academy. Prep Baseball Report ranks Flynt as the No. 10 overall prospect and the No. 2 left-handed pitcher in Mississippi.
"Tyner is an up-and-coming athlete also from the state of Mississippi, where he is ranked top 10 via PBR. Tyner has always had a smooth delivery on the mound and a plus changeup that we feel is already a real weapon," Meade said. "Where he has made real gains is developing his spin and adding velocity late in the summer, running the fastball up to 93, and capping it with 10 strikeouts in a 4-inning outing down in Jupiter. We think he can be a front-line starter during his time here in Troy, and it will personally be exciting for me to work with such an advanced lefty coming from the high school ranks."
Noah Marschke | LHP | Stevens Point, Wisc. | Madison College
Marschke emerged as one of the premier pitchers in junior college baseball this spring, earning First Team All-Region 4 honors and an NJCAA All-American nomination. The left-hander posted an impressive 8-1 record over 12 starts for Madison College, striking out 89 batters while issuing just 30 walks in 66.2 innings. He limited opponents to a .213 batting average and finished the season with a 2.29 ERA while leading Madison College to an appearance in the NJCAA Division II World Series.
"Noah was the latest addition in this class, and the only juco player in the fall period. He was completely dominant for Coach Mike Davenport at Madison as a frosh," Meade said. "He is one of the top returning arms in all of junior college baseball, and we still believe that there are many improvements still to come for him over the next 20 months. He runs the fastball up to 92 already, but the real difference maker is the two dynamic breaking balls that he can spin. His changeup development is happening fast, and we think it will only add to his front-line starter profile he will enter Troy with. It will be fun to see how he builds on his incredible freshman year."
