TROY, Ala. - Brooks Bryan has been named to the ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division I All-Southeast Region First Team coming off a season in which he led the Sun Belt Conference in RBIs and became Troy's new 'RBI King', the American Baseball Coaches Association and Rawlings announced this week. Â
Bryan adds to an impressive résumé of accolades he accumulated during his stellar sophomore campaign. He was previously named an All-Sun Belt First Team selection and was a semifinalist for the Golden Spikes Award. Â
The Opelika, Ala., native led Troy in home runs (18) and slugging percentage (.589) while setting a new school record with 85 RBIs. He posted a .279 batting average, .381 on-base percentage and .970 OPS while racking up 61 hits, 30 extra base hits, 31 walks and 52 runs scored. Â
A versatile piece of the Trojan lineup, Bryan played 29 games at catcher, 10 games in left field and 13 games in right field. He fielded .989 on the season and caught five base stealers with 20 assists. Â
Bryan's selection marks the third time in four seasons that Troy has been represented on the All-Southeast Region Team. Outfielder Logan Cerny was a First Team selection in 2021 while outfielder Shane Lewis was a First Team selection in 2023. Â
The ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division I All-America teams will be announced on June 14 and the ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove winners will be announced on June 19.
