Ezukuse and Edward Battle in Second Day of NCAA East First Round

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Troy track and field throwers Biniosa Ezukuse and Joy Edward competed in the women's shot put event on the second day of the NCAA East First Round at the Kentucky Track and Field Complex.
This was the second consecutive trip to the NCAA's for Ezukuse and the first for Edward. In a loaded field, Ezukuse finished 26th with a distance of 15.39m and Edward came in at 33rd with a mark of 15.03m.
Ezukuse finished the year with four podium appearances and wins at the Doc Anderson Invitational and the UAB Spring Invitational. Edward was on the podium twice this season, as she finished second at the Doc Anderson Invitational and third at the UAB Spring Invitational.
The Trojans final appearance of the first round will come tomorrow at noon, as Javon Osbourne competes in the men's discus.
