MADEIRA BEACH, Fla. – Troy fell 6-0 to Chattanooga at the R.O.C. Park on the opening day of The Spring Games.

Jade Sinness continues to spearhead the Trojan (16-8) offense as she went 1-for-2 on the day, picking up one of the Trojans' four hits against Chattanooga.

Chattanooga (14-7) started early with a double from Kailey Snell. She got bunted over to third before Olivia Lipari flied out plating Snell, giving the Mocs' a 1-0 lead.

The Trojans tried to battle back in the second inning when Audra Thompson drew a walk and Sarah Beth Brake ripped a double up the left field line, before a strikeout ended the inning.

Libby Baker shut down the Chattanooga offense until the fourth inning when the Mocs scratched off two hits and three runs off a sacrifice fly from Kaili Phillips and a two-run home run from Baileigh Pitts

The Mocs picked up where they left off in the sixth inning plating two more runs from a Pitts double and a Jayce Purdy sac fly extending their lead to 6-0.

Libby Baker (6-3) punched out two batters and gave up one walk over four innings, while Savannah Money also appeared in the circle for the Trojans in the final two innings of the game.

Notables

· Sarah Beth Brake recorded her first double as a Trojan.

· Savannah Money made her first appearance since February 24. Money punched out three batters in her 2.0 innings of work to tie her career high of three strikeouts.

· With the loss, it marks the first time all season the Trojans have not put a run on the board.
