Troy Track and Field Ventures to South Alabama Invitational

TROY, Ala. – Troy Track and Field venture to Birmingham after taking a weekend off, where they will compete in the South Alabama Jaguar Invitational on Sunday morning at the Birmingham Cross Plex.
This will be the first time the Trojans have competed at the Jaguar Invitational since 2022.
Biniosa Ezukuse will look to continue her run of second-place finishes as she's set to compete in the weight throw and shot put. Last time out, Ezukuse broke the Troy indoor school record and set a new personal record with a throw of 15.72 meters. Abby Grosinske and Leah Kennedy are set to join Ezukuse in the throws for the meet.
Kasia Cooper is lined up to compete in the 400 meters, where she will look to improve her finish after crossing the line in 10th at the Samford Clash with a time of 58.02. She will be joined at the line by Kyra Dullage, who ran a 1:00.72.
On the men's field, Altwayne Bedward is set to compete in the shot put, where he will look to put together another strong performance to finish on the podium for the third time this season. In the high jump after finishing fifth with a jump of 1.92 a weekend ago, Jack Anderson will be looking to improve his finish from the last meet.
The meet kicks off with the women's 5000 meters at 9:30.
