Women’s Tennis Travels to North Alabama

TROY, Ala. – The Troy women's tennis team is back in action on Thursday afternoon as it travels to Florence, Ala., to take on North Alabama at 1:30 p.m.
The match, originally scheduled for Friday, was moved up due to expected weather on Friday.
Troy (4-0) is coming off a three-game homestand that saw it win 19 of 21 possible points.
The Trojans have been led in singles this season by Gabrielle Leslie who is 4-0 in the spring season and 12-4 overall. Leena Metwally is 3-0 this spring. No Trojan has a losing singles record thus far in the spring season. Overall, Troy is 20-4 in spring singles matches and 62-41 in the entire season.
In doubles, the pairings of Maria Guiguirs and Kristian Kukaras, and Valeriia Avdeeva and Metallly are each 3-1 this spring. The Trojans are 8-3 in doubles this spring and 24-24 overall.
North Alabama is 2-2 this season and is coming off a 6-1 loss to UAB on Tuesday. The Lions have been impressive in doubles this season with a 6-3 combined record through four duals.
Troy is 4-0 all-time against North Alabama since each program has moved to the Division I level.
