Troy Men’s Golf Adds Four on Signing Day

TROY, Ala. – Troy men's golf head coach Clay Bounds announced the addition of four players to the Trojans' roster for the 2025-26 season on Wednesday's opening day of the early signing period.
Troy welcomed Thomas Crane, Haston Emblom, Lawton Emblom and Landon Noble to the program.
"This is a big class for us," Bounds said. "We are graduating five guys in the spring, so our job was to go out and find players to fill that void for next year. We hit a home run with this 2025 class. Each player can come in and make an impact on this team. All four guys signing will fit right into our culture here at Troy, and we are excited to get them on campus next fall."
Thomas Crane – Mobile, Ala. / UMS-Wright HS
High School: Helped lead UMS-Wright to the 2022 (5A) and 2023 (6A) Alabama state titles … Finished as the 2023 Alabama 6A individual runner-up after shooting 2-under, including a 5-under 67 in the final round … Ranked No. 11 on the AGA Junior Rankings in the summer of 2024 … Named the 2023 Mobile Sunrise Rotary Woody Woodall Boy Golfer of the Year … Earned UMS-Wright's low medalist award in 2023 and 2024 … Holds the Country Club of Mobile's Gold Tee Course record with a 63 … Helped lead Team Alabama to a win at the AGA Southern Junior Cup; perfect 2-for-2 in his individual matches … Back-to-back individual medalist honors at Alabama Sectional Tournament (2022, 2023) … Won the 2022 SJGT Peninsula Junior Classic and Gordon Smith Junior Championship

"We are very excited to add Thomas to our squad next year. Thomas is an excellent player and comes highly ranked right here from the state of Alabama. When (assistant coach) Nate Griffin and I were recruiting Thomas, we knew instantly that he would fit in with everything we are building here at Troy. He will come in and make an immediate impact on this team. Again, we are excited to get Thomas on campus and see his college career develop and take off."
Haston Emblom – Mountain Brook, Ala. / Mountain Brook HS
High School: Helped lead Mountain Brook to a runner-up finish at the 2024 Alabama 6A State Finals … Tied for 12th individually in the state finales … Shot a pair of rounds under-par and finished 10th at the AJGA Visit Tuscaloosa Junior in the summer of 2024 … In the summer of 2023, finished second in a field of 81 at the Future Tour Championship in Greenville … Also finished fifth at the Alabama Boys State Junior that summer, thanks to 5-under over the final 36 holes … Tied for fifth at the 2024 Alabama 6A Sub-State, where he shot 1-under to lead Mountain Brook to the team victory … Member of the 2023 SJGT Junior Cup West Team

High School: Ranked as high as No. 70 of the Rolex American Junior Golf Association Boys Rankings and No. 118 in the Junior Golf Scoreboard rankings … Four career AJGA Top 10 finishes, two in 2023 (AJGA Open Parris Island, AJGA Atlanta Classic) and two in 2024 (AJGA Canebrake Club, AJGA Adam Scott Championship) … Won the 2023 SJGT Magnolia Grove Championship … Eight-time all-tournament selection at Northgate High School … Helped lead Northgate to the Georgia state title in 2024 where he earned all-state honors … Shot 4-under to finish as the individual runner-up at the state tournament in 2024 … Tied for 13th at the 2024 Southern Junior Championship and tied for third at the 2024 PGA National High School Invitational
