BATON ROUGE, La. – With two chances remaining in the main draw, neither advanced on Friday at the LSU Tennis Complex to end Troy's run at 10-10 in singles and 1-3 for doubles for the ITA Southern Regional.

Doubles competition opened day three with Yeray Andres Pastor and Noah Martens alive in the main draw. They matched up with Louisiana's William Ribero / Leonard Tramolay. The SBC foes fought back and forth, forcing a tiebreaker set with the match tied 7-7. The Trojans kept it down to the wire, but UL managed to pull out the 7-5 victory in the tiebreaker for an 8-7 overall win.

For singles, Nicolas Simkin fought as the lone Trojan in the main draw and persevered through tight sets. With Alabama's Matias Ponce de Leon on the other side, Simkin forced a tiebreaker set to open the match. However, Simkin couldn't hang tight as set one went to de Leon with a 7-6 (7-1) win. Set two saw another tiebreaker set, but Simkin routed the SEC opponent on a 7-6 (7-3) set two triumph. With the match tied 1-1, de Leon proved too much as he defeated Simkin, 6-2, to end his run.

Andres Pastor ended his run with a victory in the consolation bracket against Southern Miss's Kilas Nordahl Jensen. The Valencia native dominated the SBC opposition, sweeping Jensen 6-1, 6-0.
