FT. WALTON BEACH, Fla. – The Troy men's tennis team won for the 12^th time in its last 13 matches with a 5-2 victory over Mercer Wednesday afternoon in a neutral site matchup in Ft. Walton Beach, Fla.

Troy (12-2) bounced back from losing the doubles point to win on five-of-six singles courts to bring home the victory as the Trojans are nearing Sun Belt Conference play. Sunday's upcoming contest at UAB is Troy's final tune-up before league play starts March 18.

Vito Llinares put the Trojans on the board with quick work on court six, winning 6-1, 6-1 to improve his spring record to 8-3, while Mario Martinez Serrano improved to 12-2 with a 6-2, 6-2 win on the top court.

Yeray Andres Pastor pulled the Trojans within a point of victory, 3-1, with a 6-3, 7-5 victory on court four, his fifth straight win, while Carles Anton joined Martinez in double-figure victories with a match-clinching win on court two, 3-6, 7-5, 6-1; Anton moved to 10-2 this spring with the win.

Noah Martens won his fourth straight match and for the seventh time in eight opportunities this spring, with a 7-5, 7-5 win on court five, while Mercer (6-9) picked up a singles victory on court three.
