Men’s Golf Readies for Golfweek/AGT Intercollegiate

TROY, Ala. – Coming off back-to-back strong finishes, the Troy men's golf team is back in action this week in the Golfweek/AGT Intercollegiate at the par-72, 6,989-yard Litchfield Beach & Golf Resort in Pawleys Island, S.C., Monday thru Wednesday.

Troy has climbed to No. 86 in the national rankings entering this week's action, a jump of more than 30 spots since the start of the spring thanks to a second-place finish at Auburn's event and a fourth-place finish at Florida State two weeks ago.

The Trojans have shot 11 rounds under-par as a team this season, led by eight from Nicklas Borrmann and seven each from Jake Springer and Brantley Scott; six of Scott's seven rounds in the red have reached the 60s.

Scott leads the Trojans with a -0.14 score vs. par through 21 rounds on the year and has four top-10 finishes in seven events, while all 21 of his rounds have counted towards the team card. Borrmann, Will McFadden and Springer are all within less than two strokes of par.

Borrmann enters the week with a 73.25 stroke average, followed by McFadden's 73.41 and Springer's 74.41. Jason Quinlan enters Forrest Schultz's lineup for the first time this season after playing two events as an individual.

Troy will be in the final pairing to tee off from No. 1 in Monday's opening round with Quinlan's threesome scheduled for an 8:15 a.m. (CT) tee time.
