Men’s Tennis Win Streak Ends at Nine

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – The Troy men's tennis team saw its nine-match winning streak come to an end Friday afternoon with a 5-2 loss at East Tennessee State.

The Buccaneers jumped out to a 2-0 lead, winning the doubles point by taking matches on courts two and three and then on court one, which snapped Mario Martinez Serrano's nine-match personal winning streak.

Noah Martens put the Trojan (9-2) on the board with a 6-4, 6-4 victory on court four, but ETSU (1-8) won on courts two and six to clinch the victory. Yeray Andres Pastor claimed the other point for the Trojans, winning 3-6, 6-4, 10-3 on court three.

The Trojans will take a week off before traveling to Huntsville to take on Alabama A&M on Friday, March 3.
