Troy Women's Tennis Closes Out Fall Season

DELAND, Fla. — The Troy women's team wrapped up its fall season on Sunday as they completed the final day of play at the Stetson Invite.
The Trojans played three doubles matches and six singles matches against Kennesaw State.
In doubles, the Trojans finished 1-2. The long win was picked up by Valeriia Avdeeva and Leena Metwally, who defeated KSU's Ema Baraniakova and Taylor Dean, 6-4.
Kristina Kukaras and Maria Gurguis were defeated 6-2 by Sofia Madrid and Izabelle Persson. Ivana Gresova and Laura Nadaska defeated Hagar Ramadan-Amin and Olivia Elliott, 6-4.
In singles, Troy went 2-4.
Avdeeva defeated Gresova, 6-3, 6-4. Metwally defeated Nadaska, 6-2, 6-3.
Elliott went three sets but came up just short as she fell to Terezia Baraniakova, 4-6, 6-2, (10-6). Persson defeated Leslie, 6-4, 6-2. Madrid defeated Guirguis, 6-4, 6-3. Ema Baraniakova beat Ramadan-Amin, 6-0, 6-2.

As the fall season comes to a close, head coach Rawia Elsisi gave her thoughts on the fall season that saw the Trojans go all over the southeast and face off against strong opposing players.
"This fall was a great learning experience for all of our players. We faced a variety of opponents who challenged us and made us a better team. I am excited to see their continued growth and look forward to the Spring season."
