Alex Robinson Takes Home Men's Track Athlete of the Week Award

TROY, Ala. – After being a part of two school records at the Carolina Challenge, Alex Robinson has been named the Sun Belt Men's track athlete of the week, the conference announced on Wednesday.
"Alex has matured so much in this past year," director of track and field Marc Davis said. "He is working harder than ever, and it is showing. I am proud of his accomplishment. Proud of where he is going. I don't think he knows how good he can be."
Robinson started his weekend in the 200m, breaking the school record with a time of 21.24 and a fourth-place finish. His time in the event is third across the Sun Belt this season and 44th across the nation on the NCAA Indoor List.
This season, Robison has finished in the top five of the men's 400m and 200m races.
He was later part of the men's 4x400 relay, where the Trojans finished in first place with a time of 3:16.98, smashing the previous school record.
Robinson will look to continue his strong season with the rest of the track and field team next weekend at the Camel City Invite.
