Troy Women’s Basketball Signs Shaniah Nunn

TROY, Ala. – The Troy Women's Basketball program and head coach Chanda Rigby announced the addition of Fairfield High School standout Shaniah Nunn Friday.
"Shaniah will be one of the most naturally talented players to wear a Troy Women's Basketball uniform since I have been at Troy," head coach Chanda Rigby. "She makes difficult things look easy. Her ability to score on all three levels, defend all positions, and rebound with the best rebounders makes her a very special player. We are proud that she is a Trojan!"
Nunn comes to Troy out of Fairfield High School, where she was a 2020 Alabama 5A Player of the Year finalist.
The Birmingham, Ala., native has been dubbed a three-time all-star game, four-time all-region and five-time all-area selection. She has also been tabbed a two-time Super 7 All-State honoree.
Her senior season, Nunn averaged an impressive 21.1 points, 11.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game. During her storied high school career, she notched over 3,500 points, 1,500 rebounds, 300 assists and 170 blocks.
Following her junior season, the guard was named the North MVP after turning in a double-double (20 points, 10 rebounds) in the North South All-Star game.
