TROY, Ala. – The Troy Women's Basketball program and head coach Chanda Rigby announced the addition of former Coastal Carolina center Janeen Camp Saturday.
The Portsmouth, Va. native played two seasons with the Chanticleers after spending her freshman season at Towson and sitting out during the 2019-20 season due to transfer rules.
"Janeen brings a dimension to our roster that my staff and I haven't had before at Troy," head coach Chanda Rigby said. "Adding a true back-to-the-basket big will offer us a paint presence that will raise the ceiling on what we can accomplish."
The 6'5'' center was one of four Chanticleers to play in all 26 games last season. Primarily coming off the bench, Camp averaged 6.8 points and 6.7 rebounds for Coastal Carolina during her senior campaign.
Camp tallied five double-digit contests and eight double-digit rebound games this past season.
During her junior season, Camp connected on 54.0-percent (27-of-50) of her shots from the field and ranked second on the team with seven blocks.
At Townson, she was named to the Colonial Athletic Association All-Rookie Team after seeing action in 33 games and leading the team in blocks with 52. Camp shot an impressive 44-percent from the field during the 2018-19 season.
