Men’s Tennis Hosts UAB Thursday

TROY, Ala. – Winners of three straight, the Troy men's tennis team hosts UAB in an in-state showdown Thursday afternoon at the Lunsford Tennis Complex. First serve is set for 2 p.m. as the Trojans look to move to 5-0 at home on the season.
Troy (11-6) swept a pair of matches over the weekend, blanking both Southern Miss (4-0) and Chattanooga (7-0) to remain unbeaten at home.
Noah Martens won all three of his singles matches last week and has won five of his last six, with the lone loss coming at No. 24 Florida State. The Trojan freshman is 12-4 on the year, splitting time between courts three and four, while Vito Llinares with 12-3 on the year on court six.
The top of Troy's lineup has been strong, with Pelayo Antuna and Carles Anton combining for a 22-8 mark on courts one and two; Anton is 13-4 on the spring, while Antuna has won four straight, including a win at Florida State. The pair have combined to post an 11-3 mark playing together in doubles.
The Blazers (6-7) have also won three straight with consecutive wins over North Alabama (4-3), Chattanooga (5-2) and Alabama A&M (6-1).
