TROY, Ala. – Troy won its third straight overall and fourth straight at home with a 7-0 sweep of Chattanooga Sunday afternoon at the Lunsford Tennis Complex.
Troy (11-6) won all eight completed matches against Chattanooga (3-9), winning both doubles matches and on all six singles courts.
Vito Llinares and Noah Martens turned in a 6-1 win on court two to open doubles play before Carles Anton and Pelayo Antuna clinched the doubles point with a 6-2 win on court three; the duo moved to 11-3 on the year.
Llinares has been strong at the bottom of the singles lineup all year, and he continued that action Sunday with a 6-1, 6-0 victory to move to 12-4 on the spring. Martens, who also improved to 12-4, made it 3-0 in favor of the Trojans with a 6-4, 6-0 win on court four.
Anton clinched the match on court two with a 6-4, 6-4 win as he moved to 13-4 on the year. Antuna won his fourth straight singles match with a 2-6, 6-2, 6-3 win on court one, Manuel Bernard won a three-setter on court five and Simkin closed it out with a three-set win on court three.
Troy, which is undefeated at home this spring, concludes its three-game homestand Friday against UAB. First serve is set for 2 p.m. at the Lunsford Tennis Complex.
