Troy Travels to Montgomery for Matchup with Alabama State

TROY, Ala. – The Trojans complete a four-game road trip in Montgomery on Tuesday, March 29 at 6 p.m. as they get set to take on Alabama State for the second time this year from Riverwalk Stadium.
Troy cruised to victory last week when these two teams first met, winning 11-1 at Riddle-Pace field for their 11th straight win against the Hornets.

Both teams went 1-2 over the weekend in conference play between their last meeting. Troy returned from Texas with a win after facing UT-Arlington, and Alabama State picked up a win at Bethune-Cookman.
It was a dominant 16-3 win for the Trojans the last time these two teams squared off in the state capital, as Troy is 11-3 all-time in the home of the Montgomery Biscuits against Alabama State.
Trey Leonard looks to continue his recent form as the senior outfielder takes a team-high seven-game hit streak and a .367 batting average into the contest.
In 6.1 innings pitched and 2-0 on the season, Rigsby Mosley has cemented himself as a mid-week starter and will get the nod Tuesday evening. Mosley pitched 3.1 innings, giving up two hits and a run last time these teams met.
For Alabama State, it will be Kevin Matos again. In his previous outing against Troy, the Trojans got to Matos, putting up four runs on four hits, four walks, and only one strikeout; Matos only lasted four innings.
Fans are invited to a pregame social that will be held at the Club Car Bar, located down the right-field line, beginning at 5 p.m. in advance of the game. Complimentary food and drinks will be provided for fans to enjoy. At the same time, they mix and mingle with T-Roy, Director of Athletics Brent Jones, various Troy head coaches, members of the Athletics Department, and the Troy University Alumni Association.
