Men's Tennis Earns ITA All-Academic Team and Scholar Athlete Honors

TROY, Ala. – The Troy men's tennis team has been named an ITA All-Academic Team while three Trojans earned ITA Scholar Athlete honors, the national organization announced on Monday. This marks the third-consecutive year that Troy has been named an ITA All-Academic Team.

To be eligible for the ITA Scholar-Athlete award, athletes must be a varsity letter winner with at least a 3.5 GPA, on a 4.0 scale, for the current academic year while teams must have at least a 3.2 GPA for All-Academic Team honors.

"It's is very important for us that our academic standards are very high. One of our goals was to finish as an ITA All-Academic Team from the beginning of the year. They are students first and that's our priority."
