Men's Tennis Travels to Coastal Carolina

TROY, Ala. – The Troy men's tennis team will travel to Conway, S.C. this weekend to take on the Chanticleers of Coastal Carolina. The match will take place on Sunday, April 11 with a start time of 9 a.m. (CT).

Troy enters its final Sun Belt Conference match of the year with an overall record of 18-3 and a Sun Belt record of 2-2. Last weekend the Trojans went 1-1 with a win over Georgia Southern. Troy and Coastal Carolina each sit at .500 in the conference, however Troy is 2-2 while Coastal is just 1-1. The Trojans 18 wins this season leads the Sun Belt and is five more than Georgia State who has 12 total wins.

Coastal Carolina enters the weekend with a 7-6 overall record and a 1-1 SBC record. The Chanticleers are currently on a one-match losing streak after falling to Presbyterian on Friday. Following Sunday's match, Coastal will have one Sun Belt match remaining when they play Georgia Southern on April 17 in their last match of the season.

In the last three matches, Troy is 2-1 against Coastal Carolina. The Trojans won the first two meetings while Coastal won the latest match back in 2019. The Trojans are 1-0 when the match is played in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Following the Trojans final conference match on Sunday, they will host UAB on Sunday, April 18 at 1 p.m.
