Men's Tennis Defeats Coastal Carolina In Sun Belt Finale

TROY, Ala. – The Troy men's tennis team concluded its Sun Belt Conference schedule on Sunday with a 4-1 victory on the road against Coastal Carolina. The win improved the Trojans record to 19-3 overall and 3-2 in the Sun Belt Conference.
The Trojans got things started in doubles where they earned the doubles point with wins on courts two and three. The first win came from the pair of Christopher Tasker and Nicolas Simkin on court two, followed by another win by Carles Anton and Amer Bedwan on court three.
Troy extended its lead at the start of singles play with a win from Tasker on court six. After Coastal Carolina earned its lone point of the afternoon with a win on court three, the Trojans closed the door on the Chanticleers with a win on court four from Bedwan and court two from Anton.
Troy will be back at the Lunsford Tennis Complex next Sunday for its final match of the regular season. The Trojans will host UAB at 1 p.m.
