Women's Tennis' Mihaljevic Earns All-Sun Belt Honors

TROY, Ala. – The Sun Belt Conference announced its yearly postseason award winners Wednesday afternoon and one member of the Troy women's tennis team, Matea Mihaljevic, was represented as Mihaljevic was tabbed with All-Sun Belt Second Team Singles honors.

Mihaljevic, a senior from Osijek, Croatia, earns her first career All-Sun Belt honor in singles after posting a 7-9 overall record between the fall and spring seasons in 2020-21, and a 5-8 record in dual matches. Mihaljevic, who played all 13 of her singles matches on court one, was 2-2 in Sun Belt Conference matches.

Mihaljevic was also excellent in doubles this past season with an overall doubles record of 12-6 and a dual match record of 10-5. Mihaljevic primarily teamed up with Shevita Aulana during the dual season and the duo earned a record of 8-5, including an upset win in the SBC Tournament over previously unbeaten pair of Otoja Aoki and Aina Domingo-Bernabeu of South Alabama.

This is the second All-Sun Belt honor of Mihaljevic's career after she earned All-Sun Belt Second Team Doubles honors in 2019.
