Troy Women's Tennis Closes Fall Season at Roberta Alison Fall Classic

TROY, Ala. – With the ITA Southern Regional in the rearview, the Troy women's tennis team turns its attention to the Roberta Alison Fall Classic this weekend to close the fall season. The Trojans will compete in both singles and doubles play over two days, Friday, Oct. 31, and Saturday, Nov. 1, at the Alabama Tennis Center in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
"The Roberta Alison is a great tournament that we play every year — there will be plenty of opportunities to compete against the best teams in our region," head coach Rawia Elsisi said. "This is the type of competition we are looking for to end our fall season."

ITA Southern Regional Recap
Troy found success in both singles and doubles competition at the ITA Southern Regional. Valeriia Avdeeva and Maria Guirguis advanced to the Round of 16 in singles play before falling to Power Four opponents. En route to the Round of 16, Avdeeva took down members from UAB and Mississippi State, while Guirguis managed wins over Louisiana Tech and Louisiana.
Through the fall season, Avdeeva and Hindawy have been standouts in singles play with a 6-2 and 6-3 record, respectively. When Hindawy joins Namyslo, the duo has a dominant 7-2 record.
