Troy Set for Rivalry Midweek at Jacksonville State

TROY, Ala. – Troy closes out its road swing with a trip to in-state rival Jacksonville State Tuesday evening. The Trojans and Gamecocks will meet for the 146th time in the storied rivalry's history at 6 p.m. at Rudy Abbott Field.

Troy looks to get back on track after suffering a heartbreaking 17-15 defeat in Sunday's series finale after the Panthers hit a two-run, walk-off home run in the 10th inning. The teams combined for 32 runs on 32 hits, including six home runs in the high-scoring affair.
Dalton Sinquefield has had the hot bat lately for the Trojans, hitting 11-for-21 (.523) with two home runs over the last five games. The senior logged a career-high five RBIs Sunday and tied his career high in hits (4), which he set a week earlier against Texas State.
Drew Frederic has remained as steady as ever at the top of the lineup having reached base in all 34 games this season and in 43 consecutive games dating back to last season. Rigsby Mosley enters the midweek ranking 11th nationally with 13 doubles on the year.
Ryan Pettys, a freshman transfer from Florida State, will get the nod for Troy on the mound for the second consecutive midweek contest after starting last week at UAB.
