Troy Travels to Monroe

TROY, Ala. – The Troy Softball team hits the road for Monroe, La., for a three-game conference series against ULM starting Saturday at the ULM Softball Complex.

The action kick starts with a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. Saturday with the series finale on Sunday at 12 p.m.

The Trojans (26-9, 10-3 Sun Belt) are looking to regain their footing after falling in all three games to No. 14 Louisiana last weekend.

Veteran Katie Webb leads the charge at the plate batting at .371 with 10 doubles, three homers and 24 RBIs.

At the helm of Troy's pitching staff is sophomore Leanna Johnson. The righty has recorded a 1.30 ERA with 192 strikeouts over 118.2 innings of work. Johnson's 192 strikeouts currently ranks eighth in Troy's single season records.

SCOUTING ULM:
The Warhawks (13-20, 4-7 Sun Belt) head into the weekend on a three-game win streak after downing Louisiana Tech Tuesday and sweeping both games of a doubleheader over Jackson State Thursday.

Kennedy Johnson leads the offensive efforts batting at a .361 clip with five doubles, a triple and a home run. Gianni Hulett sees the majority of time in the circle, recording a 3.48 ERA over 70.1 innings of work.
