Troy Travels to Birmingham for Midweek Clash Against UAB

TROY, Ala. – Troy heads to Birmingham for the second Tuesday in a row, this time for a matchup against UAB at Regions Field.
In conjunction with the game, Troy will hold a pregame social in the Regions Field Party Suites and Party Deck for alumni and fans in the Birmingham area to attend; the social is set to begin at 5 p.m. with first pitch between the Trojans and Blazers scheduled for 6 p.m.

Troy secured a much-needed victory in Sunday's series finale against Texas State, snapping a six-game skid. Several Trojans recorded career days in the win, including Dalton Sinquefield, who posted a career-best 4-for-4 day with two RBIs.
Caleb Bartolero tallied a career-high three runs in the win while Max Newton notched his first-ever save.
Drew Frederic enters the midweek contest riding a 39-game on-base streak dating back to last season and has a hit in seven of the last eight and 21 of the last 23 games.
Ryan Pettys, a transfer from Florida State, is poised to make his first-career start on the mound against the Blazers. The lefty has made seven appearances, all in relief, this season and has struck out seven batters.
