Men's Tennis Takes Nine-Match Winning Streak to Nicholls State

TROY, Ala. – The Troy men's tennis team will be on the road once again when they travel to Thibodaux, La. to take on Nicholls State. The match vs The Colonels is scheduled for a 2 p.m. start on Saturday, March 20.

Troy enters Saturday's match with a 15-1 record and a 7-1 record away from Troy. The Trojans are currently on a nine-match winning streak, it's Troy's longest since 2019 when they won 10 straight matches. Troy also won 10 straight back in 2015. Troy's longest winning streak since 2010 is 11 back in 2010.

Troy and Nicholls State will be meeting for just the fourth time since 2013. In the three previous meetings, Troy owns a 2-1 record, including a win in the most recent meeting, 4-3, back in 2015.

Nicholls State enters the weekend with a 4-4 record and a 0-1 record in the Southland Conference. The Colonels lost their most recent match vs North Dakota 2-5 and enter on a two-match losing streak.

Following Saturday's match, Troy will enter Sun Belt play when they travel to Mobile, Ala. to take on South Alabama on Friday at 2 p.m. and Louisiana on Saturday at 11 a.m.
